    Friday Announcements:

    CONGRATULATIONS TO THE JV PURPLE TENNIS NATION. Our boys did very well in the Grossmont League Tourney. In the doubles championships we had 2 Santana teams playing each other for the title. Emanuel Corona and Trevor Kerkman went 6-0 during the 2 day event to win 1st place while Cole Stromberg and Nick Lane finished in 2nd after losing only 1 of their 6 matches. Spencer Ikeda and Jason Freund were our top performers in singles; both going 5-3 over the 2 days. There is no match today gentlemen. Varsity practice starts at 3:30. See you then!

    NATIONAL ANTHEM AUDITIONS: If you are a senior and would like to audition to sing the National Anthem at either graduation or at Senior Awards, please come by and see Ms. Bingham to sign up. Auditions will be held on Thursday, May 11, during lunch in the gymnasium.

    NEED A DRESS FOR PROM? Send your name along with the name of your school to marcehanson@hotmail.com and come to The Rock Thrift Store on May 6 and May 7 to shop. You must RSVP before you can shop.

    COLLEGE INFORMATION SEMINAR: Attention students considering college after high school. AVID Club is hosting an informational seminar to help navigate the system of college applications, financial aid and NCAA Clearance. The cost is $15 per family and includes a packet of all the information required. Hope to see you on May 9. RSVP to Mrs. Erpelding in Room 313 if you will be attending.

    BLOOD DRIVE: Santana will be hosting its final blood drive of the school year on Thursday, May 4 from 8-1:30. Permission slips are required for 16 and 17 year olds. See Mr. Tobias in Room 109 for more information.

    SENIOR CORNER:

    ATTENTION SENIORS: If you are attending a 4-year college or joining the military AVID is selling banners that are hung in the library and at graduation that you get to keep to recognize your success. Please see Mrs. Erpelding in Room 313 for a flyer.

    SENIORS, FREE MONEY IS HERE FOR YOU! All you have to do is apply. New scholarships are added weekly. Be sure to check the scholarships on the guidance website for updates and join the scholarship Google classroom. See Mrs. Spenny for the code.

    Clubs: 

    PEACE COUNCIL: Want to make a difference here at Santana? Come join Peace Council! Meetings are Wednesdays at lunch in room 111.

    THE DJ CLUB meets at lunch on Thursday’s to mix and play music in Room S4.

    ROBOTIC'S TEAM meets in Ms. Stanley's room 307 Wednesdays at lunch.

    ZOMBIE CLUB meets on Monday’s at lunch in Ms Chandler's room S7. New members welcome. Come with ideas on how to survive the Zombie Apocalypse. We are all infected.

    ECOLOGY CLUB Come to room S8 on Wednesday at lunch to learn about aquaponics and homegrown, environmentally friendly food.

    PING PONG CLUB: The Olympic division plays on Mondays, the Intermediates play on Tuesdays, and the Novice division plays on Wednesdays. Friday is open play. Any and all are still welcome to join. Our first fundraiser begins soon. Come to 704 today to get all the info and to join the Ping Pong rage.
