DANCE TEAM AUDITIONS are here! If you are interested in being part of our Dance Team, pick up an application from Mrs. Spenny in the Guidance office or download one at Auditions will be held on Saturday, April 30, from 9 am to 2 pm.

MILITARY SCHOLARSHIP: Attention all students! Are you interested in receiving a scholarship to college worth as much as $200,000? Do you want to make the military your career? If so, please plan to attend the All US Services Scholarship and Career Night. All military academies will be there as well as all university ROTC programs. It will be on Friday, April 22, from 5-8 pm at the San Diego Community College District – Cesar E. Chavez Campus, 1901 Main Street, San Diego, 92113. See Mrs. Spenny for additional details. We will see you there!

YEARBOOK TEAM: Calling all Sultans: Do you like graphic design, photography or working behind the scenes in a creative environment? If so, consider joining the yearbook staff. We are accepting applications for the fall now. Earn a varsity letter; look good on college applications and get job/work experience. Applications are available in the front office and in Room 401, or go to the school website under the student tab and select the Yearbook link to apply on-line.

CONGRATULATIONS to Jake Kitten for being selected as the San Diego Chapter, Walter J. Zable National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame--- high school scholar football player of the year for 2016. He is now in the running for the national scholar player of the year award.

CONGRATULATIONS to sophomore flute player Noel Bessette who performed last Saturday at Valhalla High School Solo and Ensemble contest. Noel received the highest rating possible, a Superior. Another example of Sultan's excelling at their craft.

ATTENTION SENIORS!!! Monday April 18th is the last day to buy your Grad night ticket. We have a very limited number left so don't wait and miss out on this fun night at Disneyland. Please see Mrs. Smith in Attendance for the permission slip.

SCHOOL CLEAN UP DAY: In honor of Earth Day next week, the Ecology Club is sponsoring a school cleanup day Wednesday the 20th after school.  Meet us in the large quad at 2pm - we will provide cleanup materials and afterward we will reward your help with free Nachos and there will be prizes.

OLD GLOBE: Students attending the Old Globe performance with Mrs. Garrison need to remember to turn in BOTH permission slips from the school and the Old Globe by next week for a proper head count. Do NOT forget!

STUDENT PARKING: This is a reminder to students who drive to school. You are to park only in the student parking lot and not in the staff parking lots. Do not park near the auto bays or near the 1400 building.  Thank you.

ASVAB: The Armed Services Vocational Battery career test will return to Santana on April 28th.  If you would like to retake this test to improve a previous score, or take it for the first time, please sign up with Mr. Rose in room 303 or Mr. Barry in room 304.

BOYS GOLF: The Sultans of Swing are having a fantastic season, including the JV squad.  Cody Clinger, Marco Gonzalez, Shane Brockman, Kyle Olsen, and Matt D'Angelo will finish their season going undefeated this year.  The varsity boy's are one win away from going undefeated in their Grossmont Valley League.  Cheer them on as they look to close out the regular season. 


ZOMBIE CLUB: If you want to survive the Zombie Apocalypse, come join the Zombie Club every Wednesday’s at lunch in Ms. Chandler’s room, S7.  New members are welcome.  We are all infected.

READING CLUB: Meets in the library every Friday at lunch.  If you enjoy a good read and sharing your love for literature, come join us.

KEY CLUB: Want to make quality friends and become more involved in school activities while earning your volunteer hours?  Thursday’s at lunch in Room 107.

A.C.E.: Santana’s Architecture, Construction, and Engineering after school program also known as ACE meets Wednesday’s in 802, right after school at 2:00.  Students who join ACE will have an opportunity to earn high dollar scholarships for participating.  To learn more, come to the meeting or see Mr. Kay for more information.

PEACE COUNCIL: Wednesday’s at lunch in room 105.  We focus on building a better Santana community, community service, and fun activities.  New members are welcome!

SCIENCE FICTION CLUB:  The Sci-Fi Club is open to all on Wednesday’s at lunch in room 207.  The Sci-Fi Club is a fun place to hang out and eat your lunch.  We will be discussing the new Star Wars Battle Front game.

ECOLOGY CLUB:  The Ecology Club meets Wednesdays at lunch in room S8.  Everyone is welcome and we are always looking for new ideas for helping the environment and new people to get involved.  Of course we also want to have fun so join us next week for one of infamous team games.  There will be prizes.

THE COLOR SPECTRUM CLUB is your Santana LGBT club and meets Thursdays at lunch in room 402.  We invite you to come and hang out, learn about LGBT issues, meet new friends, and help us plan some fun and exciting events.

CHRISTIAN CLUB: Every Thursday at lunch in room 704.

ART CLUB: Wednesdays at lunch in Room 703. No experience necessary and all are welcome.  The more the merrier! 

ROBOTIC’S CLUB is meeting in room 307 on Wednesdays to get ready for the competition season! If you would like to be a part of the San Diego and Las Vegas regional competitions, come by and sign up! Build season starts in January and we will be practicing designs and fundraising in December.
