CAP AND GOWNS: Seniors, if you missed yesterday’s Cap & Gown/Announcement Order Day you’ll have to contact the company directly to order.
THE SANTANA CHOIR IS LOOKING FOR A FEW GOOD MEN. If you like to sing, or think you would like to sing, please come see Mr. Stalmann in the music room and we’ll talk about it. It would require you going to see your counselor and requesting a change in your schedule. Choir meets during second period.
RECYCLING BUCKETS: Students, look for the white buckets in your classrooms. These are new recycling containers for cans and plastic bottles for the Clean Water Club. You can continue to use the blue containers for paper and other items, but please use the white buckets for cans and plastic bottles. Your recycling helps provide water filters for people in Fiji who don’t have safe water to drink. It’s a great cause worth the extra effort to recycle and we would really appreciate your help.
TEXTBOOK AND LIBRARY FINES: Okay Sultan Scholars! Semester I is behind us and with the beginning of Semester II comes the perfect chance to take care of any unfinished business. We have the most recent fine list posted in the library entrance, so come and check it out. If you are cleared, great! If not, why not check that off your to-do list. You’ll have to come in eventually, so why not today? Especially you seniors! Don’t wait until the day prom bids go on sale to clear your accounts. If you have any questions, come see Mrs. Teschler or Mrs. Winslow.
GYMNASTICS IS COMING! We are flipping your way and want you to join us. We have over 30 years of league final titles, 13 CIF 1st place wins and we need to defend our championship title this year against West Hills. Download the tryout flyer on the website: www.santanagymnastics.com or see Mrs. Wilkerson-Spenny in the guidance office for the flyer. Spaced on the team will go fast. No experience necessary.
PASTA FOR PENNIES IS BACK! Boxes will be distributed to classrooms on January 26th and will stay until February 20th. Bring your pennies and help raise money for the Leukemia/Lymphoma Society. Winner gets a pasta party.
ATTENTION STUDENTS: Peer mediators are here and available for you. This year’s mediators are Brielle Wilkerson, Tara Kyne and Deanna Aguiar. They can help you resolve conflicts between you and someone that you are having a disagreement with. They are also available if you just need another student to talk to. So, if you need help resolving issues between friends, you can grab a request slip in any classroom or in the guidance office.
PEACE COUNCIL: Join Peace Council and make a difference. Meetings are Wednesdays at lunch in room 105.
BOOK CLUB: Hello Sultan Readers! If you enjoy reading and would like to share your love of books with other Sultans, join Santana’s Book Club every Friday at lunch in the library. Bring your lunch and the love of literature.

KEY CLUB: Join Key Club to participate in fun community service activities. We meet Thursdays at lunch in room S2. Also, members that signed up for our Roadside Pride activity should meet at the Jack in the Box on Magnolia by 67 and Gillespie Field.
CLEAN WATER CLUB: This is a reminder to the Clean Water Club and anyone else who would like to check it out that we meet every Friday at lunch in room S8
DISNEY CLUB: You’ve got a friend in us. Come join Santana’s very own Disney Club. Have you always wanted to go to Disneyland, but lacked the time or money? Disney Club fundraises to go to Disneyland, so come join and plan for the 2015 Disneyland trip. Fundraising starts soon, so join before it’s too late. They meet Tuesdays at lunch in Mr. Reilly’s room.
SULTAN READERS! Remember we meet every Friday in the library at lunch to share and discuss our latest reading adventures. Remember to get to the library ASAP today as we have our guest speaker, Mr. Johnson, joining us to share our mutual love of literature.
